I'm Iris, passionate about hoops for over 8 years
I found my very first hula hoop on the streets of Amsterdam, thrown out with the trash. A friend taught me a few tricks, and I was instantly hooked! What started as a single plastic circle and a fun hobby in the park soon grew into a full collection—and a true passion. (Don’t ask how many hoops I have now…)
These days, I dance with LED and fire hoops, or even spin four hoops at once, performing at festivals and corporate events. I’m currently training to become a certified hoop instructor, and I’ve traveled to conventions across Europe—and even to India—to learn from some of the best hoopers in the world.
I’ve been dancing and playing with hoops for over eight years, and there’s still so much to explore. I’m constantly learning new tricks and ways to move—it’s a journey of discovery.
It’s the only hobby that’s held my attention for so long (and I’ve tried quite a few!). While mastering a new trick is always a thrill, my real goal is to find a sense of flow. To move, to enjoy, and to connect—with the hoop, the music, and the moment.
